Old English Gin

Old English Gin

33.99

44% ABV / 70cl

When creating Old English Gin, the distillers aimed for something that was as close as possible to Gin sold in England during the 1700’s & 1800’s. At the time, England was the largest importer of French champagne in the world, so gin shops would recycle the omnipresent bottles and fill them with gin (hence the rather unusual presentation of this modern example).

The gin itself is based on a recipe from 1783, and uses 11 classic botanicals which are distilled in the oldest working pot still in England. The result has impressed judges across the globe – most notably those at the World Gin Awards who crowned it ‘The World’s Best Gin’ in 2015.
